Terms and conditions.

Cancellations

☆ Cancellations made more than 6 hours before class will get the session back and will avoid cancellation or no-show fees.

☆ Late cancellations made less than 6 hours before class will forfeit the session & incur a $5.00 AUD fee.

☆ No-Shows and absences will forfeit the session & incur a no-show fee of $10.00 AUD.

☆ The same no-show policies apply for any late-cancellations within 30 minutes of the class start time OR if you arrive to the studio after the door has been locked (after 5 minute warm up).

☆ We do not accept cancellations via Social Media, phone or email. All booking cancellations must be made using the Momence App. Notifying us of a potential no-show or late cancellation does not exempt you from our studio cancellation policies.

☆ To avoid the said fees, you must cancel your booking through your Momence App, outside of our 6 hour cancellation period.

☆ We understand life sometimes has other plans, we get it. If you're a member of Tabletop Pilates, we allow for 1x “Oops, life happens” late cancellation where the $5 fee will be waived each 30 day period. This incentive does not apply to No-Shows and does not include clients on introductory offers. Any further late cancellations will be charged accordingly as per the below structure.

Injuries

To ensure that everyone get's the most out of their class, we have a policy in place for attending with injuries. A modification to an exercise is different from replacing it entirely.

Examples of modifications:

We are able to modify planking on your forearms (low-plank) instead of weight bearing with your arms extended (high-plank).

We are able to modify abdominal crunches with single-leg extensions by keeping your head rested during the exercise instead of keeping it lifted.

If you're finding that you need a completely different exercise from the rest of the class, we may recommend booking a 1:1 session with our Founder. Alternatively, we may refer you to Clinical Pilates until your injury is more manageable to be comfortable enough to participate in a general group Pilates environment. Our trainers have the discretion to make this call if they feel it’s necessary.

The Studio

☆ To ensure minimal risk of injury to all members, our staff reserve the right to lock our studio doors after their 5 minute warm-up. This will also assist with minimising the disruption to other clients and keep our belongings safe.

Our detailed studio terms and conditions can be located within the checkout/purchase page of each membership, offer or package.

Frequently asked
questions...

Why are grip socks compulsory?

Grippy socks are required in our studio for safety and hygiene purposes. They provide a safe gripping between the your body & our floors, Reformers and Mats and also act as a barrier between feet and our props. Regular socks aren't suitable. If you forget your grippy socks, they’re available for purchase in the studio. We suggest keeping an extra pair in your bag or car.

I’m pregnant, what is your recommendation?

The Founder of Tabletop Pilates practiced Pilates throughout her pre & post natal journey, so we value its benefits and prioritise safety in our space. Since every pregnancy is unique, we recommend that you consult your healthcare provider to confirm that Pilates and Yoga are suitable for you. Once cleared, please notify us to plan your first visit so we can recommend the best classes and instructors.

  • Class styles marked with a (P) are suitable for all trimesters. Any classes without a (P) are only suitable up to 16 weeks.

  • Our Reformer Revival class is not recommended for any stage of pregnancy.

  • Our Mat Pilates classes are only suitable up to 13-16 weeks. We are working hard to have more pregnancy friendly classes on our timetable.
